On the 17th of November the staff of “Future in Our Hands” NGO had a visit to one of the schools of Abovyan. The aim of the organization was to inform the students from 10-12 grades about EVS and short term projects, which are realized by the organization.
First of all the staff had a presentation about NGO, its objectives and the opportunities the members can have there. Then they provided the students with information on EVS projects and how to apply for them.
The students were also told about what perspectives can the EVS projects give to them. Some photos from previous EVS projects were shown in order to motivate them. As well as ex EVS volunteers shared their EVS experience with the pupils.
Everybody was highly motivated and the information they got interested them very much especially the ones, who were going to leave the school.
Taking into consideration that today pupils have very little knowledge on opportunities of going abroad we can surely say that the presentation was a success, because as a result a lot of students got valuable information which they will surely need in the future.
At the end “Future in Our Hands” provided the students with info pack about the organization which will help them to contact if they decide to take part in some EVS projects.
Such kind of informative visits done by the organization will be continuous.
